"My wife and I visited an exhibition of Marianne's work in Bahrain in April 2012. While all of the works on display were of high quality, Reflection immediately stood out to me. The use of colours, texture and perspective combine to make a stunning piece of art. Aside from the technical nuances the work draws the viewer in as you follow the line of tree trunks to wherever you want it to take you. Since hanging the painting in our home I have looked it many times and always see something different be it a new splash of colour I hadn't noticed before or a new reflection emerging. I don't envisage I will ever grow tired of this wonderful piece of art."

“I had to buy SILENCE BEFORE THE STORM! When I first saw it I was immediately transported back to Lebanon and the beach where we regularly go windsurfing. For me the painting represents the end of a perfect day of sailing when thee wind dies down, the sun begins to set but the sea is still dark from the storm."

“The reason I fell in love with SKY & WATER I was the strong colour as well as the strong image.  I've always been a lover of blue and the sea and to find a painting which expressed an impending storm in such vivid blues was fantastic for me. The painting was hanging in my living room while in Bahrain,  but is now hanging by the front door of my chalet which is the perfect place for it. The artwork fitted beautifully in Bahrain but it looks even better in Verbier, with the right lighting on it. I thought it was good value for my first investment in an original piece of artwork.”

“What first struck me about Marianne's art was her use of color and texture.  I purchased her painting, 'MORNING’ & ‘DUSK’, because of her combination of these two elements.  The red colors of ‘Morning’ drew me into the canvas.  One tone of color blended into another, moving my eyes through the range of hues.

The colors evoke the transition of night & day – both the closing of night and the dawning of a new day –washing back and forth. The Pollackesque spatter, although in stark contrast to the swimming red colors, perpetuates the theme of the painting, the passage of time.  The spatter border repeats the evocation of both night and day - the teeming night lights of cityscape and the twinkling lights welcoming morn.

The two distinct areas in the painting exhibit very different qualities while fusing together in storytelling and visual delight.  Whether you view the painting from top to bottom, side to side, or from the bottom upwards, your imagination is aroused. “Morning” commands the space of an entire wall in my home.  I gaze at it daily, marveling at its depth. I am grateful for its creation, my appetite whetted for more of Marianne’s art.”
